.Mount/\Command Set - Release
2003.02.04

Extends and expands the two Common Command Sets (internal and external) with over 300 NEW INTERNAL COMMANDS!.  All .Mt/\Cmds are self-adjusting at INITIALIZATION or RUNTIME and function identically across all supported platforms (Windows NT4, 2000, XP and Server 2003!).

NOTHING TO INSTALL!

NO "SPECIAL CASES" TO REMEMBER!!

Everything you need for
.Mount/\Commands is already on your system!

Write ONE SCRIPT using .Mt/\Cmds and easily run it on any combination of NT, 2K, XP or K3 systems!

Click here for a quick list of available .Mount/\Commands!

Outstanding Features of MountCommands:

  • Preloaded or "cached" after Initialization
  • Behave and perform just like "internal" commands (FOR, SET, COPY, ECHO, etc.)
  • Require no disk access to load their code (actual execution may require disk access depending upon the task being performed)
  • Require no additional tools beyond the Common Command Sets (Internal and External), which are fully present in all default installations of Windows NT, 2K, XP and K3 (see Compatibility Page).
  • Effectively mask differences in operating systems by customizing the actual code that is executed, at initialization or runtime, so as to obtain a CONSISTENT result, regardless of the current Operating System or environment.
  • Greatly enhance the readability and maintainability of scripting code by using mnemonically ("sounds like what it does") named aliases in place of cryptic code segments.
  • Allow less experienced System Administrators to write (and maintain!) reliable AND complex multi-platform scripts.
  • Enable experienced System Administrators to write less cryptic code that can actually be understood and maintained by those without the same level of experience.
  • Complete Mount/\Command Set is available as a Standalone Script (MtCmds.cmd)
  • The full MountCommand Set, with extended documentation, is also included within NTCmdLib.cmd (NT Command Library - Expert Version).
